Unfortunatly most of this countries media comes out of New York, so most of the reports were biased towards the yankees. I am a red sox fan but I have looked objectively towards all the issues here:
1# Pedro was wrong for throwing at Garcia, he had no provoked reason too. This is why you dont see any memeber of the sox speaking in his defense, it was wrong. However I do feel that it has been part of the game. It does happen, its not the right thing to do, but it happens. Who is to say Pedro did not throw it away by accident, I feel that it was only one pitch, and the only one whos knows the answer to that is Pedro.
2# Manny overreacted to a pitch that came high and inside. Again I say he did overreact but after what had just happened I doubt many people can say they werent expecting the rocket to bean someone, and any pitch like that wouldve provoked a similar response, even though there really wasnt much place for it.
3# Don Zimmer was just a joke. Im really upset how the media handled it. Im in CT, and I recieve a paper from here, and one from NY. The NY paper screams about how a "psycho pedor attacked a 72 year old don zimmer and how bloomber wouldve busted pedro for it". Open your eyes. Watch any unbiased media (ESPN!!) watch the replay and you clearly see Don Zimmer rushing and swinging at Pedro when Pedro threw his ass to the ground. 72 year old fat bald guy or not im not ashamed to say if he was swinging at me, I wouldve done the same. If pedro wanted to fight this guy dont you think he wouldve given him a 95mph fist into his head?? And if Zimmer is the innocent one people think he is, why did MLB fine him?? (Again I believe that pedro and mannys fines are legit as well, I have no quams saying they were in the wrong).
4# IF you check the Boston Police reports what happened in the bullpen is this. A groundscrew memeber stationed in the bullpen was cherring for the sox, when unprovoked he was attacked by Garcia and another pitcher (lyons?? I forget). He had clet marks on his back for gods sake! And Boston authorites have charges pending. Now as in the zimmer case, if this groundscrew was the bad guy, why wasnt he arrested, why arnt there charges pending against him, and why would garcia have gotten fined? An espn replay even shows about 5 yanks pitchers standing around him stomping on him....even if it was a legit fight, when you make it 5 on 1, the 5 are just cowards.
Now as I see the sox actions not appropraite, I see them as being part of the game. At no time did anything that doesnt happen from time to time in baseball occur. All be it not right, I consider the sox actions a part of the game.
What the yankees did however was completely out of place and had no place being part of a baseball game. The red sox played rough baseball, the yankees flat out attacked people. If Bloomber wanted to arrest anyone, he should look at his own team first.
