How much to pay for a factory rear dana 44 tj axle?

I loose my original 35C in a car accident so I can no make a custom 44 at least from my original axle. Anyway I in my way for a 350 coversion and guy from ohio is offering me a factory made 44 from a 2001 tj for $1400. Is this expensive?? I lready try some southern California yunk yards with any look.

I havent had alot of experience with buying a 44 but it sounds like alot of money.[addsig]
