Inline Coolant Tube for Fan Switch

I am going to use a dual temp. fan switch to operate the high and low speed of the Ford Taurus 2- speed fan.

The fan switch has a thread diameter of 22mm x 1.5. There really is no place to mount it except in line with the upper radiator hose. This is the way SAAB had done theirs. Good luck trying to find the mounting tube that is in good shape in the wrecking yard.

Here are a couple of pics of the stainless mounting tube I had made.

I'll see how it all works over the weekend.

It only cost me time. Plus I enjoy making this stuff. My sensor has a 22mm thread. By the time I redrilled the mounting boss on the one from Summit there wouldn't be anything left.

I used a thero coupler from auto zone, cost about $18 and I just stuck it into the end of the radiator hose at the radiator input. hasn't leaked yet.

It only turns on low, I have High on a seperate switch, I almost never turn it on unless I am idling on the trail for an extended amount of time.
