My Jeep's finally down in college with me! There's just one drawback... the clutch is gone. It's a real pain to drive without it...can someone tell me what may also hurt it by not using the clutch? I have to turn the Jeep off at stops and put it in gear and then turn it on...how bad is that for the starter? Is it possible to break the stick itself? My hand's swollen from driving, but it's still great! -Mike

I am in the shop now with a clutch replacement. looks like you need about $300.00 to $400.00 parts and labor to get the fix you need. Like one of the regulars on here says If it aint broke it aint a Jeep, Good Luck and I know it is rough to be a student. Later Tug

Actually, I went to the Auto Zone down here. They said $169 for the clutch...and hopefully the auto tech. class that I'll be in second semester will fix it for me within a couple of days. I'm waiting for their reply. -Mike
