Hello to all:
I have a 2010 Wrangler JK, 9,000 miles and I do all of my own maintenance. I checked my Transmission fluid recently , after going through exactly what the JK Manual calls for with making sure the transmission is warmed up properly to 180*F and going through each gear selection and ending up in the netural position, I checked the fluid and seems to be off quite a bit. I will check 2 more times before I top it off with additional fluid, knowing that too much fluid is just as bad.
When looking at the JK's Auto Transmission Dipstick, there is a cold reading and a hot reading, I am good with fluid almost " Slightly below" up to the first hot fluid marking. For those of you who do your own maintenance , was your fluid check always in the middle of the 2 holes " Hot Reading" ?
Most transmission dipsticks just have 2 markings which have min and max markings, seems the JK Wrangler is a little different, just trying to see what readings members on here are getting before I add just a little more.
Thanks for any input
