just a lower control arm question

hi, im just about to build my control arms and i was wodering, all i want it a 4 to 4.5 inch lift and i want my control arms to attach where the stock control arms are. and not like long arm lifts because i was told that the skid plate wasnt a good place to mount the arms because its not a strong place to mount them, so any ways back to what i was saying about how long do i have to have the control arms to achieve my 4 to 4.5 inch lift


i own a 1997 tj with flowmasters with no cat, its a 4.0 i6 and its a stick < im just stating these things because they just might make a difference, [addsig]

you're making them yourself? tubular? i bet you could call rustys' offroad and ask them how long their control arms are (bolt to bolt length) and go from there...[addsig]
