I am not a real big fan of body lifts myself since about the only thing they do is give you clearance for bigger tires. I would much prefer going with some other kind of lift method. Why not only go say 1.5" body lift and then go with some shackles to gain the rest. That way you won't have the shifter so far from you and you won't have to cut into the body to get the shifter to go into 4LO. With shackles you not only gain additional clearance for tires but you also get the frame higher off the ground and thus gain some off-road capabilities. Plus, I don't like the gap that a body lift leaves- and a 3" body lift would leave a big one- a 1.5" wouldn't be as obvious.

Just my $.02-[addsig]

If you have already done the body lift you may need to cut the opening in the floor to get the shifter to move far enouhg to get it in to 4 lo. If you have not all ready done the lift my advise is to rethink the big body lift and go to a supension lift. tug[addsig]

do both a suspension and a body lift...i have a 3 inch body lift and 4inch suspension....dont mind the gap between the body and frame much cause my attention is diverted towards the soon to be 35 inch super swampers stuffed inside the wheel well...heheheh...seriously tho...you gotta look into the future and plan out just how far you want to go with your jeep build up before making any descions[addsig]

body lift = bad, my friend had a 3 in body lift along with SOA suspension, just got into a fender bender, got him from behind, only about 7 mph, but it slid the whole body forward and did almost $8,000 worth of damage!! :-O [addsig]
