Lift & tire combo

So I'm married, and poor, and can only buy stuff as I go. I want to get a 4inch lift and some 32 m/t and some new rims to replace my old steel rims. But I can't spend all that money at once. So tell me. Have you ever put a 4inch lift on a YJ and run with 30x9.50 tires to get by? Is it ugly.

It's not too bad. You'll have increased your breakover angle considerably, but will have the same ground clearance under the diffs. Do what you have to, but it sounds like you have the order of purchases right.[addsig]

Bounty, I went to your club's website. Nice to finally put a face with a name. Nice Jeep by the way. So what do you mean about the purchase order? Lift first then tires? I was thinking of buying the tires and letting them sit until the lift is ordered because I figured my jeep would look like a mail truck with all that lift and 30's.

Luckily, I guess, my wife insists that I buy everything brand new. She said she doesn't want me looking for new tires in 6 months cause I bought some used ones from a buddy. She's probably right, plus I'd get a mileage warranty. Maybe if I lift it first and show her how 'dangerous' it's going to be, I can convince her to let me get the tires right after.
