Ligths problem

I have a big question with my YJ the rigth back ligth does not work when I press the brake even with a new ligth bulb, the funny thing is that when I put the rigth directio al ligth, the left ligth (the reverse ligth) flash on!, what is wron and how can I repair it?

I got good news, today I open the covers of the rear lamps and find out a bunch of dust and mud inside the socket of the lamp, so I cleaned the best I can and apply alcohol to the socket to clean it, now the lamps are working OK....I guess it should work great and I just need to keep it clean and avoid rust....thanks everyone for your help!!!! I am from Monterrey Mexico by the way
