You guys looked like you were having too much fun, so I had to jump in. I have an '88 YJ that I have spend too much on already but I am thinking about Line-Xing the tub and possibly the underside. Looking for comment, good or bad stories or alternatives. Thanks in advance.

I don't know much about Line-X but I have heard some good things about Herculiner for lining your tub. I know of a lot of guys that have used it on thier tubs with excellent results. Application is pretty straightforward...just paint/roll it on let it dry and your done. The stuff makes a great non slip surface that will never rust or come off. It can be done for less than $200 if you do it yourself. The only bad thing I have heard about it is getting any on you...once it dries its really hard to get off. Just make sure you wear gloves and long sleeves and clothes you are gonna throw away. One poor guy in a explorer forum decided to go take a whiz with some Herc on his hands. As you can guess he got some in the worst possible place and had quite a time removing it (not too mention a lot of laughs) http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?s=20520ace616b3e91b4c8e7514a73f0b5&threadid=33584&goto=nextnewest[addsig]

I've got herculiner in my 89 YJ and its great. I'm waiting to see how it holds up to the top off season, but so far it's working out okay other than where my slave cylinder spewed brake fluid all over the driverside floor board. I got all the stuff I needed to do it for under a hundred bucks. I got the herculiner from menards and it was 75. If you do herculiner take your time and make sure to prep good and put on two nice thick coats. It works great and is alot cheaper than paying someone to do the samething. Hope this helps
