I kept my eye on the classifieds and ran down a lot of leads, but I found my 85 CJ7 with a for sale sign parked on the side of the road. Keep the faith!

I am considering selling my 85 CJ7 Renegade for $5000. Charcoal grey, just repainted on 5 Sep 03, hardtop, red interior, 4 speed w/overdrive, highback seats with tumbe forward rear, carpet, factory console w/lock, all working electrical. 258 I-6, all five wheels are orginal, with 31s BFG AT K/Os with ample tread left (75%+), Rancho 5000s giving it a bit of a lift, and tinted windows.

I bought it from the orginal owner who purchased it in Colorado Springs while in the Air Force. The truck spent a short time in the Phillipines where the sun and surf baked the paint and caused minor surface rust. All that was repaired and the truck was repainted. The previous owner used the Jeep for only minor offroad use as a Boy Scout Scout Master. Both diffs, and transfer have been sealed with the Right Stuff, the brakes have been done and a new battery within the year. A brand new set of bumperettes are ready in the box and a garage manual is included.

I have some pictures prior to the paint being stripped off, and should have some current photos here soon once I can get all the little pieces back on.

Hello meltdown,

You could take a look at the "Jeep Broker" web site by clicking on the following hyper-link:

http://www.jeepbrokers.com/

Be aware, however, the vehicles listed on the above "Jeep Broker" web site are typically high-end or fully restored used Jeeps. I seldom see a listing for a "project" vehicle.

Regards,

Gadget
