My CJ7 1980 Leans to the driver's side

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen!

I have a 1980 CJ 7, with automatic and A/C (What model would that be?...) that has a lean to the drivers side. I have owned the vehicle for 15 years, and everything is original mechanically, and otherwise, it is in great shape. (A/C does not work, however.)

Could anyone help me by telling me why it leans to the side, and what I can do to correct it?

Thanks,

John[addsig]

This isnt an uncommon problem, and I remember reading about it before. Apparently the ones that are least likely to lean to the left are the ones that came from the factory with the hardtop. The reason is because the springs had more leaves in them if they came with a hard top. [addsig]

i'm gonna have to go with saying its your springs... they could be tired... and its pretty self explained that the driver side could weaken before the passenger side due to the constant passenger there. welcome to the board by the way[addsig]

AC not working huh? Sounds like you need to convert it to a Air compressor! Plumb it to a tank call it good!
As for the lean? 2 items come to mind. Springs and body mounts. More likely the springs are bent on the lower side.the

or you could just load a bunch of bricks into the passenger's side and even it out that way :-)[addsig]
