and yes... that sexy man hunk is me ;)

not a bad start to a life in hell  welcome to the family... you will get the bug soon if you havnt already got it

What do you mean?

I never left the family. Yeah, sure I sold my 95 XJ, but my parents have a 99 GC limited and a 96 XJ.

Also, I know the bug very well. If you have seen my old XJ, you'll understand haha.

The "bug" has now got me saving up for a BDS 3" lift.

Also, don't forget that the picture was taken 2 hours after I got it BONE STOCK.

notice : K and N, flowmaster, rims/tires, and debadging already done within the 2 hours after buying it.

That's me...

Yeah, Fridge is a Vet that had a Hiatus. He's been a long time member.

I drove up to a 4x4 shop in PA today to buy my track bar, they had that BDS kit in the showroom - with the full spring packs for the rear. Looked pretty nice.

Yeah. Its flashy. I am gonna get the add a leaf one, save some $. And my stock leafs on the Jeep are not sagging that much, maybe .5" at the most.

I'm pretty happy with my AAL's. They were the cheapest Rough Country shorty ones on the market. Sure they'll sag someday, but they serve the purpose for now.

The BDS AAL's should be fine.

I am not trying to question your taste I saw your post on this the other day and could not figure what the purpose of debadging a XJ. ZJ's have a gold package which is the only thing worse than chrome which I can understand somebody removing. I always thought XJ's look good just as they are.

I found myself looking at other jeeps seing if other people around here were removing the decals from there jeeps. As I said not trying to question your likes but you got my curiosity up wondering if this was a personal thing or maybe a east coast thing or what.

Actually, all of my cars that I have owned are debadged. Here are links to pictures.

On my old 95, look at back and front. On my Subaru (R.I.P.) look at the back.

And to answer your question, its a personal thing. I think the vehicles really look cleaner and more sexy with no "obstructions" to the paint. Who needs a "Jeep" logo when we all know its a Jeep. But, everyone's entitled to an opinion. :)

i debadge mine the day i got it as well, its a nice clean look. much like my blacked out taillighs and headlights. its alll 2 colors, black and green, sometimes w. a little mud mixed in

Yep, I also take all the badges off of my vehicles as well. It does make them look much cleaner...not that they looked bad in the first place!

Exactly.... and its much easier to wax.
Not to mention, less embarrasing when one letter falls off and it says something like "eep" on the back.

One time that happened to my old one before debdaging and some people came up to me and said "nice eep".
Pissed me off.

I understand now, not that I will follow in your steps but it did bring some unsterstanding to why some of you do. I see emblems all over Ebay I quess I now know where they get them from. Nice jeep, Thanks for satisfying my curiousity.

Yeah, but 50% of non-jeeper people don't know it's a Jeep. OR even worse I hate the: "Oh, it's a lower-end Grand Cherokee" response. Ughhh!

No shit.
One time I got pretty mad at a guy who kept telling me that the AR767 was not made for my Jeep. Found out later that he thought it was a GC all along. What the hell? After 1 hour of arguing, I finally found out that the AR767 was backordered.

Need a Cj 4-speed ASAP!

That's one goodlooking Jeep! I want a Cherokee really bad. I have a sick YJ right now that I'm nursing back to health. I have a Prelude as a daily driver, but I really want a Cherokee. By any chance is your's have a manual transmission? Hi, Afton! Tell your dad to IM me sometime! I just bought an '85 XJ for my girlfriend and I've caught the XJ bug so bad it's not even funny. Well enough of my random rambling... great find, man! -Mike :D
