My XJ 2wd to 4wd conversion

So I just got my donor XJ yesterday, an 87' 4x4, I6, with the 5 speed transmission, the conversion starts next week

pic 1- getting pulled home by a friend.
pic 2- 87 XJ outside
pic 3- the engine, it was fried when the cracked header caught the fuel on fire and burned all the vacuum lines.
pic 4- the inside, 5 speed trans
pic 5- my Jeep sitting behind the donor, my 2wd sits higher lol

Is the body of the donor in better shape hows the interior
may be easier to just swap in the motor and add what you can from the other
either way it should be a fun project
make sure you check the uni-body rail around steering box they tend to rip over time

nah a couple panels on this body are rusted, the roof a little too, i think it may have came from up north somewhere because the rust looks very similar to my buddy's XJ from Michigan lol but ya thanks for the heads up about that, I hadn't even thought of checking out the points on the uniframe.
