Ruby locker switches.....

hey guys, I need an AX-5 for a '95 Yj in a bad kinda way.. mine blew up last friday, so if anyone has one holla at me. enx7@hotmail.com

you can use an ax-5 from any yj so you know... you'll just want to keep your bellhousing if you go earlier than 94...

ax-15 has a differently splined input shaft, it's not the same as the ax-5

all youd need for the diferent input shaft is a different clutch disc and possibly pilot bushing, its not a direct bolt up though, the bellhousing pattern on the block is different between the ax5 and ax15. i was in the same boat you are, replace it with something better if you wheel it seriously at all, im in the process of putting in a np435 right now and im glad im dropping the money to have a long lasting strong transmission. theres all sorts of options but be prepared to spend money. look on ebay for ax5's around 500 bucks, your gonna be hard pressed to find a good used one, also try the trading posts. if you do want to convert it call up novak conversions (www.novak-adapt.com) or advance adapters (www.advanceadapters.com)

you can use the bellhousing from a 5speed 4 cyl dodge dakota (not sure what year, bounty has more details) to mate the ax15 to the 4 cyl
