My 1981 jeep cj7 has a high pitch whine noise from the front end, and it won't stop, I thought it might have to do with the power steering pump but I really have no clue, what is your guyses and girls suggestion?

Thanks

What happens when you turn your wheels? Have you tried belt ease and if so, does it help? Distributors can make a high pitch whine but usually only when you start it up. Water pump can also make the high pitch sound you are referring to. Anyhow, that is about all I can think of that would cause it. I would start with belt ease. If your sound gets better or worse with turning your tires it's most likely your power steering pump (or loose belt). The cheapest fixes are the ones to look at first.

Does it happen when you're idling in the driveway, or do you need to be moving for it to happen?

Buy her some flowers and take her to a movie.

Rolling or stopped?
Engine at idle or higher rpm?
Auto or stick?
Does it change with rpm or speed?
