Ive had my 92YJ 4cyl about 8 months and since Ive had it I noticed oil thrown up on the underside, above the area where the drive shaft exits the rear of the manual transmission. It looks fresh all the time and Ive checked the level and added gear oil once. It doesnt seem to be losing too much oil so I havent worried too much about it. I assume theres a seal there that may need to be replaced. Would that be an expensive job or should I just leave it and keep an eye on the oil level in the trans.
