Oil pressure always 80lbs

99 grand cherokee pressure is always peged. Could this be the sensor?

I would disconnect the sensor wire and see if the pressure drops to zero. If it does, the sensor is shorted to ground. Replace. If not, theres a short to ground somewhere on the sensor signal circuit.
