What is the difference between stage 1 and stage 2 performance chip? I have a 01 tj 4 cyl stick.

Does a performance chip really help or is it a part to drain your money?

I have a stage II superchip in my 2005 LJ.stage II chips are for engines with rapid flow intake headers and exhaust. I noticed the difference immediately. I've had it for about 5 years. It's awesome. I get compliments from my friends who ride in my jeep. Some actually thoughti had swapped a v8 into it.
Stage I chips are more for unmodified engines.

Do a search on the chips first. I've read several posts where they have caused issues or did nothing at all.

I'm only speaking from the experience in my jeep. The superchip does work in my jeep, very well.
