Who has gone with the plastic instead of the steel? I have a 21 gal steel tank on my CJ now and am unhappy w/ it. It is too big and hangs down quite far, the polyethylene tank use the CJ's OEM strap system, is shorter, and the one that I'm looking at comes with a complete install kit and sending unit. My questions are do you need extended straps? Does an OEM skid plate work or is there an aftermarket plate to you used? If so, which one did you use? :-? thanks

Just pluged my tank but will be replaceing it real soon. I am going to go with a poly tank. It will take a blunt blow better and will never rust out will keep your fule cleaner. As far as the hanger system cant answer you there. as for the skid I am pretty sure it will be fine but will still hang down as it does now. may be able to cut it down and raise it a bit! Would not be that hard to build a real skid for under the tank! let me know how you come out. tug[addsig]
