Power brake conversion

My '85 CJ has no power brakes, and that doesn't sit well with me. I went to the local recycler and found an '84 Cherokee (is that a TJ, YJ or what?), pirated the power brake vacuum reservoir and attached master cylinder, and headed home, ready for my next upgrade. However, from looking at my firewall, I can see I don't have enough room on the CJ to fit the power brake, because the clutch master cylinder encroaches on the space. I went back to the junkyard and measured and, sure enough, the Cherokee has an additional 1-1/4". Anybody out there done a CJ upgrade? If so, what donor vehicle did you use, or did you just order new stuff?

you might try a different cherokee. that was an oddball year because it had a v6 in it. none of the other year model xj cherokees had a v6 in them

This one had the 4 in it, but I'll go check for another one or see if they've had any CJ's show up since my last visit.
