Radio Problem

Hi, I was installing a radio today and shorted out the dome light circuit which is also the constant 12v circuit for the radio. I Replaced all the fuses, and still no luck. I purchased a Haynes manual and the wiring diagram is not the best. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and/or knows how to fix it? [addsig]

Is nothing working or just the radio? Maybe there is a inline fuse?[addsig]

First sounds like you blew your dome light bulb and second after market stereo's have an inline fuse in it. Try swapping the fuse out and be sure you have a good ground for the radio. Also try and buying the Installation kit instead of cutting wires. Should only cost between $15 - $20 and saves alot of time. Plus bring it inside to solder up then go out plug it in and all ready to go.[addsig]

LOL....same thing happened to me...check the fuse box next to the battery. Inside you should find a bunch of big ass fuses and 2 tiny red ones. One of those is the one that you blew...I had the same problem...shorted out the hot while installing a radio and lost my dome light...ended up rewiring the radio and carried a flashlight hehe till one day I started poking around. Let me know how it goes.[addsig]
