Tomorow or the next day I am going to pull off the rear sway bars from my 87 YJ. I have heard so many oppions on this move I am going to see 1st hand. Need new bushings any way so now is a geat time to find out. Will give a report on what it is like in my oppion then.

Any hints or tips for the ez way to do this. I will have it on a rack and have air tools have just never done this before. Want to keep things in tack just in case it is not for me. Thanks in advance for any help. Tug[addsig]

hey tug, i also took mine off. i went to tractor supply and bought two anodized pins to replace the bolts. i am now able to remove the sway bar for flex and replace it for road travel. the country roads around here are rough and as curvey as marilyn monroe. so i really like it while on road. hope this helps. can take it off in under a minute. ......odax 8-) [addsig]

Took my Track bar off 2 years ago... No problems since... It's a Jeep®, not a Porsche... :-D [addsig]

YJ's never had a rear sway bar, and I know you know what you mean  Just didn't want to confuse anybody else. You shouldn't notice the difference with that rear track bar removed. I also removed the front swaybar long ago and never looked back :-D [addsig]
