replacing inside door handles


There is only 2 torx screws holding them on. Screw out , screw in.
 
As stated above there are only 2 screws but there are also the 2 rods that clip in for the lock and the latch. Very straight forward job.
 

I bought a replacement for my TJ (same handle I believe) on ebay. It doesn't feel quite as good as stock, but at $7 shipped, it's hard to beat that

Getting the rods installed connected and everything back together and be a bit tough, but as other's mentioned, it is straightforward.
 
Watch so as you do not bend the rods if you pull the whole handle out. The handles are cheap a vinn said.
Having trouble with door lock getting stuck after locking door with key. Sprayed and soaked lock twice.
It also doesn"t help that the hard top & doors are from different donors. If all fails I will use a specialty tool a BFH.
 
finally got lock to work, found broken plastic clip that holds the rod in. Doors need work but the price was right.

terry; THANKS for the web site. my first e bay parts. came in 5 days. by using the link you supplied they were a better price?
 
not as easy as it sounds. got it done in about an hr.. rods had been bent by previous owner. be aware - both rods need to go thru a channel that keeps them away from the window assembly.
 

Found out the hard way. Window did not roll down after install. Took awhile to figure out but I finally got it. The inside panel of the door was also bent inwards by PO. Pulled it out and all is well.
