roll cage????

planning my next mod. want to build a full cage for the yj, was all set to start the plan when i saw on other jeeps a outside full cage. not a better place to get input than jeepz.com .

i dont plan on a lot of rock crawling . i do more trail rideing as there are slower trails in my area. i think alot of cash spent on rockcrawling applications are overkill if you are not in the rocks often. full lockers, beadlocks ect.... both the inner cage and outer cage have there advantages and disadvantages . of course the inner would be cheaper and less obvious . think there is also a considerable weight difference . i am makeing plans to pull the yj behind the camper so the weight issue is very important. i am not real concerned about the paint or small dents from trails so that is not a big issue

the outer cage does provide a lot more body protection . in case of a roll over chances are you can right the jeep and still open the doors , hood and hopefully no glass breakage.
there are good arguments for both . hope you guys can give enough input to help me make the right choice........odax [addsig]

I wouldn't bother with the exoskeleton cage, just put one inside the cab to better protect the occupants and don't worry about the fenders :-D [addsig]
