Very cool rolling tribute

I am looking for an Altenator . . . Should I buy the normal 105 AMP or go ahead and pay twice as much for a 160 AMP Alt?

Go with a MeanGreen 140 amp alternator. Comes with a warranty. I'm getting one soon.

If you're planning on adding a winch, lots of lighting, or a big sound system I'd upgrade it. If not, save the cash.

I got a high output alternator from a guy on ebay. It works great. MUCH cheaper than mean green.

RE: hood shaking?

Check your local Yellow Pages under Auto Electric and you can have yourself a high out put real cheap. That is what I did to my old YJ, $35.00 bucks!!!!! tug

RE: HowdyHo!

What year Jeep? There is a factory NipponDenso that's 136A, got mine at a local yard for $45 already pulled. I'll get you the part number and what vehicle to look for if you need the NipponDenso.

If you can't find one you can use in the junkyard, Tug has the next cheapest answer. You can have your's rebuild with an upgrade kit and save some money. Most rebuild places have at least a 1 month warranty on their rebuilds.
