Spare key question..

I bought my jeep and only got one key with her.. Im looking to find someplace to get a few spares made.., went to Home Depot and they want 80$ a key cause it has a chip in it... Any other ideas as to where I can get spare keys for my tj?? Would the jeep dealer be able to do it even if I didn't buy my jeep from them??

Yes , a dealer will be able to cut you a new skim key and program the key as well. If you buy an aftermarket key, you will still need to go to a dealer to get it programmed. The dealer will require some proof of ownership of the vehicle you wish to have a spare key made, just a heads up.

my dad had a key made at the dealer last year and it was $70.00 and he got two keys. Cheaper than home depot and the dealer programs it. Good luck. Oh you will have to drop your jeep off and leave it there though to program.
