Speedo Gear

Need to replace my speedo gear so that it matches my gear ratio and tire size, does anybody know where/how to calculate the number of teeth neccesary? its a 91 YJ, NP231 xcase, Chevy TH350 auto transmission, and a Ford 8.8" rear end with 3.73:1 gears.

You have to figure tire size in there also. I ran across a chart someplace (if I can remember where), with the color codes for the imput gear for the speedo, that fits into the transfer. Some tranfers came with an elbow adaptor, that also affected speedo accuracy.
Let us know what you find out, I´m interested also. I´ll share whatever I turn up.[addsig]

I found a calculator by searching on google, im just not sure how correct it really is, it takes the tire size and the gear ratio as the input and spits out the number of teeth you need i guess i'll test it out and see what happens[addsig]
