synthetic oil

bought a new/old jeep wrangler afew weeks ago..love it..question is...ive always used synthetic oil in all of my vehicles but right from the start...this wrangler has 50k miles on it and i know that they only used conventional oil..would it be too late now to switch to synthetic..?? if so what oil would you recommend...thanks...:flamethro

You can change to synthetic, it will be fine.

I don't see a down side to switching. Though if you are in dust, dirt, or heat a lot, don't depend on synthetic to extend change duration.
