T4 Information help..

I have a friend that is looking for a t4 to put back into his CJ7 it has a 258 in the Jeep now. (I think it's an 82) My question on this is simple. Is there a difference in the size of the input shaft or the pilot bearing between the 4 cylinder version and the 6 cylinder version?:???:

Assuming the shaft depth is the same, shouldn't much matter. the T4 came factory behind the 258.
