Targa Top 1/2 Door Clips ???

Looking to find the female half or the catch for the clips that hold on the uper door halfs and the top to the windshield. I have searched but not found. The part I am looking for is the simple folded steel catch if you know what I mean. Any help would be great thanks in advance. Tug[addsig]

I think your best bet is going to be to try to contact the manufacturer of your top for the part you need. Since its a targa top, it's gotta be aftermarket and probably made by either bestop, steel horse, pavement ends, etc.



I know that with Bestop, for example, you can't find any of the small bits in catalogs or online, but if you contact them, they will sell you what you need.

Thanks isharfi I did as you said. It is a Pavement ends product and I found the 800 # and talked to them today. They had the biggest brassest %%$@*& I have ever seen. The dude says how old is your top. Ibought 2nd hand. He says we can not sale you parts. I say what do you mean you can not sale parts. Can not do it dude. I ask do you still make the tops? Oh yea he says. And you can't sale me parts. Nope Cant do it. So I ask you mean you can not buy part to keep up your products. Nope he says. What a way to run a business. I told him I would spread the word as best that I could. He says go for it dude i just work here. Can you believe that! Tug

Man that really sucks... and you would think that when you buy a hardtop that costs over 2 grand new, there would be replacement parts available. I guess its just time to get creative and fabricate a catch that will fit your top! Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
