JPNinPA Well-known member Aug 14, 2012 #3 Is it all the time or only in the first few min after starting? Stuck lifter,valve, loose rocker arm,exhaust leak or just the wrong oil filter. Yes oil filter should have a good check valve that does not allow the Oil to drain back into the pan. Unlikely this
