transmission and motor combinations

I don't know exactly what you want to know, but jeeptech.com has all the different transmissions used in every Jeep made. I'm sure if you fish around you would be able to find something.

thanks to companies like Novak and Advanced adapters, you can run pretty much any combo you want.

For example, I am currently researching putting a 4 cyl Mercedes Turbo Diesel into my YJ with a sm 465 behind it.

That would be a really interesting setup. Does someone make adapters for this?

From what I can tell thus far, the MB is very similar to a 2.5L jeep 4 cyl and a chevy bell housing with some slight mods will bolt up, looking like I might have to machine an intermidiate plate and shaft, still very much in the infancy of research. swap is still at least 2 years away.

The one I currently am looking to swap in is from a 81 240, I believe it is a 3.0, problem I am really having is trying to get the injection from the newer 300 series Diesel to work on this mill. Like I said, still a long way away from the swap. I got 1 tons and a 231/300 doubler going in next winter with a stretch to 106" wheel base. the motor swap will be stage two of this build.

I'm looking at the same swap right now (to help out my buddy John) Also thinking of a Nissan turbo diesel from a Scout or CJ10 tug into an XJ (he has a CJ10 already)
