Hey guys, Just curious if anyone with a higher mileage truck (140K or so) could give me some idea of what i might be looking at here...
After the 15 hour drive up the coast my '95 Grand decided it needed to relieve itself in the driveway. There was a huge puddle of transmission fluid under the transfer case the next morning... from what i can see it looks as though it might be coming from just in front of where the rear driveshaft plugs into the transfer case... but there is also a little fluid at the same place for the front shaft as well... Anyone changed those seals in there themselves?? How long does it take and is it complicated?? Also i was wondering if its possible for the transmission fluid to somehow be seeping into the transfercase??? It seems that its only ever the transmission that is low on fluid...
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
