turns over no fire

Need some advice. 83 cj 258 died while driving turns over no spsrk. Repalced ignition and pick up coil as well as ignition module. tested coil. neg side with key off have light. No flashing ligth when cranking. Have checked wiring from coil back,no breaks. checked #1 cycl. piston is up when rotor at #1 position. any ideas. could the ecm be bad. does it effect spark.

it would be bad spark plugs(unlikely they are all bad). possibly try to get a tune kit for your distributor. oh! might be a dead fuse? take a look.

Good pointer from Pete. There's an ECU fuse on the fuse block, make sure that's not blown. Also make sure there's a good connection on the power and ground on the ignition module located on the driver side wheel well.
