Vibes

RE: Some numbers for you guys.

got some sweet vibes in the 'ol zj (96). its running a 2" bb, and a recent new driveshaft, that didnt really solve the problem, it def needed to be replaced as it was cracked, but still, i get vibes. slight vibes, nothing horrible, BUT, i can hear it, and its annoying. it disappears when i turn enough to the right, but oddly enough, not when i turn to the left. u-joints are all good, there's only u-joints on the rear of the driveshaft anyways (cv front). ideas?!?!?!

RE: Some numbers for you guys.

Hmmm that sounds real familiar - most likely it is your front axle U joints.

That's not something you want to have cut loose when you're on the road.

RE: mildew smell coming out of the heater and water seepage

Sounds like the front axle CV joints. I wouldn't waste the money replacing them, upgrade to shafts with ujoints.

You can remove the front driveshaft (if you don't have the 249 transfer case) to narrow down where the vibes are coming from.

my front axle doesnt have u-joints. and the cv joints on both sides are just fine. next?

How did you test the CV joints?

Could possibly be wheel bearings...
