what main jet/p valve combo to run

I pulled my mc2150 with .050 main jets off my 4.2l where it ran fine and put it on my 360 mopar in my yj and it seems to run rich ? would a .046 jet cure that or help at all with the mileage ? wouldnt mind getting above 9-10 lol. jeep is running great idle starts good and runs well at wot but does stumble at take off a little. i,m running mopar 360 with 727/np207 with stock axles and 32s. the power band is greatly improved over my sick 258 but the exhaust pipe is black and sooty ?

Best thing is drive it with a vacumn guage and jet till vacumn drops and go back two jet sizes. That's what I do on all my motors. Works great but takes a bit of time.
 

Check idle vacumn and make sure power valve is two or three sizes under that. But that's Holley sizing may be diff on your carb.
 
And of course make sure float is set proper to. Lol. If the carb was pulled off some dirt may have entered the seat, or float could be disturbed.
