I have a 96 ZJ and my passenger rear window is stuck down. I change the motor and tried it before I installed it. It goes down but not up and I hear a clicking noice coming from the front door area when I try to put it down from the driver's door. Anyone have any suggestions?

try the power switch. sometimes you can turn it upside down to see if its the problem. but im guessing thats your problem

does the switch on the pass. door make it go down? can you make it go up or down with the driver switches?

take the terminals out the connector, turn them around and put them back in and see if the window goes up in the down position and down in the up position (which it shouldn't, because you seem like you have a bad switch)

if you got a test light you can see if ther is power at the motor when the switch is in the up position...good luck.

I got it, it was the wiring in the door jam. One of the wires had split apart and even looked over twice before I realized it was broke. Thanks for everyone help.

that's good to know...i'v never seen it in a passenger door, mostly in driver doors in KJs and WJ's

if power was checked at the switch it would have been a dead give away...everybody needs a test light.
