Got a problem with my windshield, and it looks like it is impregnated in the glass. It's like when faceing west as the sun is going down. I am blinded by these little specs over my entire windshield, can not see nothing when faceing the sun. I know I have to replace it, but what is the cause, Thanks.

Does it look fine when not looking into the sun? Any visible defects? Does it feel fine if you run a smooth cloth across the glass?

Road grime hitting the windshield causes minute pits on the outside of it and causes glare when going into the sun. It's time for a new one.

I checked the outside of the glass for pits,all is smooth. When not faceing the sun all looks fine, no aparent problems. But when the sun is in late afternoon stage, it's blinding. Checked the inside , also smooth, kinda strange. It looks kinda like the windshield is double paned, and the specs are inside.

Chips or cracks can migrate in and the surface still feel smooth. I have a few from rocks that show under side lighting.


Check about replacing it.
