I need to replace my windshield and want to get a new rubber seal for it I cannot find one on Amazon or Quadrotec for my 87 XJ but on Amazon it is showing me bulk rubber seals but and giving measurements for thickness etc and I do not know and cannot find that information can anyone help me get the correct one please and thank you

Isnt the windshield glued in? The bulk seal just keeps the edges of the lgass good looking, i believe.

Insurance companies replace windshields if safety is an issue. Call Safelite and ask how they deal with it.

I have no idea if it glued in the bulk seals I was seeing on Amazon had groves to fit the windshield

Replacing the windshield seal on your 1987 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) can be a little tricky if you're looking at bulk rubber seals, but it's definitely possible to get the right one with a bit of attention to detail. While not directly related to the windshield seal, if you're working on any other parts of your Jeep or removing components that might involve movement, make sure any Precision bearings, such as for the doors or windows, are also in good condition. Over time, good quality bearings may degrade, causing issues with the vehicle’s frame or windows, and it could be useful to inspect them while you're working on the windshield.
