Windshield Wiper Woes? Help

1987 YJ wipper problem. Works on high like a champ never fails. Works on low speed sometimes, starts out strong sometimes the goes soft then quits. Works on intermiten fast sometimes but not often and on low never! If it does work it stops quickly. Does anyone else have this problem and if so have you found a way to fix it. Motor going soft, switch going bad I don't understand. I know this a minor problem but it is nice to have in a light rain or mist. Thanks for your help in advance! Tug

You might have a bad switch. Try cleaning it as best as you can mabye with some contact cleaner. Or you could replace the whole arm that has the wiper switches on it but only do that if you know for sure it's the problem because it's an expensive part.[addsig]
