wiper motor replacement

I own a 89 YJ and I need to get at the wiper motor do I have to drop the windshield to change the wiper motor

If I remember right you have to drop the windshield. It's not hard at all to drop the windshield, In fact, the Jeep was designed to do it. It should be two bolts inside your cab, on the dash. Just unscrew them, and maybe put some WD-40 on your windshield hinges, and lay it down.
