YJ axle help

My YJ tuck a good hit from a tree on the passenger side and the axle housing hit the shock and put a small dent in the shock the leaf spring is bent. The tire is pushed back a few inches. if the leaf spring is unbolted will the axle return to were it should be. how can i tell if the axle is bent? From the how to section the front axle to be a Dana 30 (27) can i replace with a cj Dana 30 front axle is this a hard job or what .[addsig]

it's hard to dent the axle tube, I'd jack it up and spin that one wheel, if it doesn't wobble you should just have to replace the spring and shock.



When you replace the spring the axle will be centered again, there's a pin that goes through the spring pack into the spring pad on the axle that will make sure it is.[addsig]

You can't replace the YJ D30 with a CJ D30, the differential is on the wrong side.[addsig]
