I was wondering how much lift I would get with a Cj5, all OEM and what the pros and cons were to add a leaf style lifts[addsig]

Never have put add a leaf on a jeep. Not real familiar with the CJ spring pack. But I can give you a little food for thought. They flaten the spring packs for Jeep for stability, an add a leaf will stiffen up the springs more than a little and might affect stability by increasing the arch a little. An other thing, alot of people forget about, especially the young ones, is that it is pretty common to re arch springs for trucks and the same shop that does it for trucks can do it for any leaf spring type vehicle, usually reasonably. But who´s to say how it will handle, on an uneven road, in a stiff wind and a little water on the road. Hellwig in California has been doing add a leafs and helpers, since before I was born, and with a little persistance you can talk to an engineer instead of a salesman.
