cj tilt wheel interchange

I have a 1983 Jeep cj7 that I want to install tilt wheel. I have the non-tilt and want to install a GM collum. Is there a collum out there?:???:

I see adds in JpMag all the time for idit brand columns all the time...no idea what they would cost.

any GM, Dodge, or jeep YJ cloumn of similar design will work. (minus van columns)

You will most likely have to re-pin the harness, but not all that bad, just use the pigtail from your non-tilt column.

I have a Ididt tilt column in my hot rod, they are nice, but get very pricey very quickly when you add blinkers, ignition switch, etc... I think I paid over $700 for my column and that was about 10 years ago. Flaming river is another option as well.

A FSJ column will work too. That's what I put in my "78

Yup any of the Saginaw column will work great.

The only other thing that may need to be changed is that some of the columns will simply have a universal coupling to attach the column to the shaft, some might have a rag joint, but all these are easy enough to swap around.
