Engine drops out

Did a tfi upgrade motorcraft 2100 carb, no emmisions at all left on the engine. Jeep ran great and then in any gear above 1st it will act like the power to the plugs just disapears then it will kick back in. wonder if my old ignition box cant take all the upgrades.....maybe a msd box... already dropped a load in this girl just to get her runnin. any ideas? :???:

Did you keep the stock coil, or upgrade it?

Just a thought, but you may want to check your timing.

upgraded the coil also....good point on the timing. been fightin it all i have is marks no numbers on the degrees. are they 1 d per notch 2 4 does it start at 0 or 1 or 2 never seen one like it before course i mainly work on diesels any help is great:roll:
