Dear sir,
I am an international business man, specialised in
dealing, purchasing and selling of AUTOS.I also help my foreign client
to
ship their autos to any place of their desired country or destination,
most
especially EUROPE, cause i have a shipper who takes care of the
shipment, so
shipping will not pose any problem.

Presently i have a client who has asked me to help him
purchase
the item subjected above which will be shipped to EUROPE. As i was
browsing
through the internet, i saw your advert and i will like to purchase it
for
my client, but before payment will be made i need to be sure of who i
will
be dealing with if you are going to be honest and sincere throughout
the
transaction.

So to start with, signify your interest by forwarding to
me
your last (PRICE) as well as your method(s) of payment through mail,
after
which we can continue with the transaction and i promise if all
conditions
and agreement are accepted and reached on time, payment will be made
out
almost immediately.

Hoping to here from you as soon as possible.

Respectfully,

DANIEL-HAYES.

Not sure what the deal is, but it sure looks like a form letter.

No info as to where this potential buyer is? I would think if it were some sort of scam it would involve your bank account.

To play it safe, use Paypal, or request that full payment in form of a U.S. money order be sent prior to delivery.

Don't give any account info (a common scam is to say they will make a deposit into your account and then make a withdrawl :!:

I'd just ignore it. I got some guy like that trying to buy a truck I had for sale. He even gave me a cashiers check...but it turned out to be fake.

If you were to go through with this, I'd make 100% sure his money is real before you send him the vehicle. And, keep in mind it somtimes takes several days for a check to clear even if the bank does not catch it right away.

Do a search on google or something for scams like this. You'd have no idea how often this happens.

Prarie this is a scam letter. Basically what is next to happen will be once you agree on a price and the like they will tell you they gonna send you a check for more than the amount of your jeep. They will tell ya to deposit or cash check and send them the extra. Ive seen this on an astronomy website a couple times. and its always turned out to be a scam.

SCAM!!!

Don't do it, i've seen that email 100 times. Good friend of mine even fell for it. Don't be a sucker...

I would be VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY leary of that email..............in fact, as stated before, I would ignore it. There's gotta be a Texan that'll buy that thing!?!?!

This seems to be a very popular scam huh? There must be alot of suckers... I sure am glad I asked about this before I became a sucker!!!

Anytime you do a deal on the net, using Paypal gives insurance that you get paid. Once that $$$ is in your Paypal account, it's yours to spend.

The other thing to do is rather than do everything over the net is to get real people on the phone. If this is a legit exporter he should have a phone, an address, etc. for his business and you can easily get better backgound information if you have his details, especially if he is from Texas. And especially if he has legally exported vehicles from this country to others. One or two phonecalls are definitely worth it in the long run when selling a big ticket item. This is info for future reference because that email definitely sounds like a scam.

Paypal is no where near as good as your credit card. Paypal doesnt have the kind of back up and fraud resolution that credit card companies do. When ever I buy something big its always with a credit card because I can get my money back with them, my bank won't care where my money went if i get scammed, the credit card company does.

Sorry I just reread it, but yea, if your getting money by paypal, take it immediately in cold hard cash.

Careful. If they use a stolen paypal account to pay for it, you'll loose that money.

AMEN TO THAT!!! I almost lost $1800 bucks from selling a laptop to someone who paid with a stolen account!

It'll look like the money is yours, then it gets REVERSED! (When the rightful owner of the money notifies paypal of the fraudulant activity)

That site is cool, good for her. I don't know how she has the time, and she must be a very vengeful person. I wish more people would scam the scammer. I also wonder how many people fall for the cashiers check scam. Crazy I tell you.
