Subwoofer

Has anyone here tried the Soundstream 8" loaded subwoofer? .. It's thin and supposed to be able to be mounted under a seat. I saw it on eBay and the price wasn't that bad either. Just curious if its worth it. Comments?

Nope. I used a Kenwood shallow mount and a RF Punch (the size of maybe 2 decks of cards). Loved the set up.

Did you buy it as an assembly or did you buy it with the speaker separate from the box and amp? . I'm trying to get some ideas. Thanks.

Bought then separate. The amp was placed behind the dash. I'll see if I can find a pic; I'd take one, but seeing as how he's in a junk yard in FL right now, well... High enough to keep it from being seen, low enough to let it get some air. I paid someone to make a box for the subwoofer in the shape of the center console. I lost the little storage area there - small sacrifice for big sound.

Found one. Is the photo disorienting, or can you tell where it is in the jeep?

Yes, it's on the left side front quarter panel by the foot pedals. Cool, thanks for the idea.
