Mc 2100

Ok guys. We are almost finished with the swap. I have figured out the vacuum lines and hooked up the throttle linkage. She starts right up and moves. Now, somebody please explain how to tell the difference between running lean or rich. How do I tell? Does turning the screws in make it rich or lean. I have not does any adjustments on this yet. Thank you to everyone who has helped me with this. I do appreciate it. Bryan

I think turning them in richens it, but not sure. If you google search it, it is there because I did that back in the summer with my carb. google something like "does turning mixture screws in on my carb richen or lean it"

Hey 808, ur going to love this carb. Mine runs better un tuned than my tuned carters ever did

Great. I was trying to be patient. Telling myself it's only a week, I can wait. Then you go and tell me what I'm missing. Agghh. Lol jk. Glad to hear you got it going. I think I'll go rip the old carb. off and clean my intake until the new one gets here.

Sorry bout that. It is nice though. Whatever you do, get those studs out in one piece. That was a royal pain in the azz. Keep me posted on your swap.

Hey 808, just remember, I'm basing my excitement on having a carters for years. If I'm not mistaken, you've got a Holley already. I think it will be an improvement, but not nearly the improvement as having what I had. SEVEN days is a LONG time. Lol

Tell me about it. I'm sure it will be an improvement. The Holley I have is off a 74 scout with a V8. Needless to say its seen better days.
