My DD is a 02 Dodge dakota.

Nice Dakota. I had a 97, the first year of that body style, for 12 years. I miss that truck. Part of the reason I got a Jeep.

My TJ is my daily driver, I don't own anything else. I have been looking at some old Jeep Wagoneers or one of the old pick-ups.

The Jeep is really for my daughter. My daily ride is a 2008 Sport Trac.

Gibson cat-back, K&N, Firestone A/T's. Leased it new and bought it earlier this year because they aren't making them any more.

Always loved cars. At this point I have a fleet to tinker with.
'08 Sport Trac - mine. The Swiss Army Knife of trucks. Looks stock but you can hear me coming from far away.
'04 Focus wagon - company car (I own the company).
'03 Taurus wagon - wife's greyhound hauler.
'00 Mustang ragtop, triple black, 5 spd - son's babe magnet, Borla side exhaust, 17" ROH wheels and steamroller sized Bridgestones.

I split my days up between my 77 CJ7 and my 89 Toyota 4x. We drive one till it gets low on gas then swap to the other. By we Iean the dog and I.

you have any issues with rear ends on that sport trac? when the wife sold her 93 wrangler, she wanted one of those so we looked at a number of them around town. everyone we looked at, at multiple dealerships, needed the rear diff replaced or rebuilt. when i talked to the mechanics, they said its an issue with the housing and the bearings spinning (or something like that).

No. Almost 60k, no problems so far. Never read any complaints about it on the Sport Trac board. I did change the diff lube at 30k and will do it again at 60k. The 2nd Gen Tracs are a piece of cake, the rear diff cover has a drain plug. :shades:

Where there IS an issue is when you want to lift one. The rear diff is an 8.8" Ford but it's mounted solid and halfshafts go through a hole in the frame to the rear wheels. A 2" spacer kit from Truxx is all there is. Love it to death though.
